Although I love it, I’ve always struggled with pattern design. 

However, I found this book easy to follow thanks to its clear step-by-step instructions. I truly liked that it contains a few questions to wrap up your understanding at the end of each chapter.

The layout is visually clean, and its edition is not as boring as these books usually are.

The tips are also practical clarifying essential professional techniques that other guides tend to omit as they should be understood or known.

As it is customary, the book begins with skirts and bodices, including dart manipulation; then, it adds difficulty with necklines, collars, sleeves and finally pants and pockets.

From what I can tell, it’s an update of a previous work by this author published in 2012, making it a great option for both beginners and seasoned pros looking for a current reference.
