Elly es una estudiante universitaria con un extraño don, pocas amistades y un trabajo a tiempo parcial con el que cubrir los gastos de su apartamento cerca del campus, donde vive junto a su hermana.
Un día, mientras regresa a casa en bicicleta, sufre un accidente que podría haberle costado la vida, pero alguien interfiere para salvarla. Ese alguien es, Ethan, un ser invisible que ha venido para protegerla y al que solo ella puede ver.
Poco a poco, Elly descubre que esa rareza que la hace sentir una friki en nuestro mundo es un talento poco convencional en una dimensión paralela. Por ello, los monstruosos Chaeli están resueltos a darle caza.
No obstante, Ethan y su amigo Liam se convertirán en los protectores de Elly, en una lucha de poder y supervivencia, que irá mucho más allá del deber.

Elly is a college student with a strange gift, few friends, and a part-time job that helps her cover the expenses of the apartment she shares with her sister near campus.
One day, while riding her bike home, she is involved in an accident that could have killed her life, but someone intervenes on her behalf. That someone is Ethan, an invisible being who has come to protect her and whom only she can see.
Elly soon discovers that the oddity that makes her feel like a freak in our world is actually an extraordinary talent in a parallel dimension, that the monstrous Chaeli are determined to hunt her down for.
As danger closes in, Ethan and his friend Liam become Elly’s protectors in a struggle for power and survival that will take them far beyond the call of duty.
